Online Trauma Informed Yoga Training

40-Hour Training

FALL 2024

This Trauma Informed Yoga (TIY) training is a professional training for Yoga teachers, mental health professionals, educators, social workers and individuals interested in deepening their knowledge and understanding of how to apply the ancient practice of Yoga to support those healing from trauma. All trainees receive certification in trauma informed yoga at the completion of the training.

This is a connective and experiential training where you can expect to not only learn new information, but also receive opportunities for practical application in a safe and supportive space.

You can expect to connect deeply with yourself and your classmates. We will learn and apply the principles of teaching a TIY group class and private session, as well as explore the impacts of interpersonal and collective trauma on the nervous system and how TIY can benefit those seeking integrated healing.

You do not need to be a yoga teacher or a licensed professional to attend this training.

Although this training is offered with compassion and through a trauma informed lens, learning about this topic and developing these skills may be potentially draining or triggering for some. Please be prepared with a self-care plan and network of support for our weekend together.

Continuing educations hours are available for certified Yoga teachers.

If you have any questions please reach out to Hannah at yoga@hannahuiri.com

Trauma is something that was deeply woven into my being. I’ve been practicing yoga since 2011 and I often say that it saved me. Hannah’s Trauma Informed Yoga Training helped me connect what I learned about yoga thus far and the healing that still needed to be had as a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor. Not only do I feel more at home with myself and my practice, I have the tools to further help others with their experiences. Definitely life changing and a must for anyone, not just yogi’s.
