Intro to TIY Workshop
In partnership with United Yoga Studio.
In this 2 hour session you will be introduced to the evidence based practice of Trauma Informed Yoga (TIY). During our time together you can expect to experience short TIY practices, and a time of interactive lecture that spans a basic understanding of trauma, the principles of TIY, and why it’s beneficial.
*Please note that this introduction to TIY is an opportunity to learn more about this practice and does not certify individuals to teach TIY. CE hours are available through Yoga Alliance for those that are certified yoga teachers.
You do not need to be a yoga teacher to attend this workshop. Seekers, lifelong learners, and curious minds are welcome! This workshop is offered online and in person.
Even though this training is offered with compassion and through a trauma informed lens, learning about this topic and developing these skills may be potentially triggering for some. Please be prepared with a self-care plan and/or a network of support for our time together.

Commune + Connect Circle LIVE
Theme: Honor Your Needs
Commune + Connect is a time of collective movement, breath work, and connection with others. The first 45 minutes of class will consist of our trauma informed yoga practice, while the remaining 15-30min will be time to connect over an intentional topic.
In this class we will explore what it looks like for you as an individual to honor your needs this season. How to navigate boundaries, energy output, and protecting your peace in a way that feels authentic to you.
Commune + Connect classes are free for Soma Yoga members, and $18 for non members.
